Genevieve lives as a shy and neurotic book editor, shunned by her colleagues and applying to be the next ghost writer for her publisher’s most popular crime series. But no one, not even her therapist, knows that Genevieve is secretly battling Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). While her life at home and in society is a constant struggle to avoid any stress that might cause her to dissociate, the series and its random depiction of DID begins to unsettle Genevieve as she is flooded with flashbacks that she had no hand in creating. Alarmed by how dangerous she and her character, Stevie, could be, she discovers clues to the horrors they may have been a part of. Coming dangerously close to the secrets of her past, Genevieve finds herself in terrifying hallucinations as she approaches the source of her trauma and the answer to the question she’s always been afraid to ask: What happened to Genevieve?
